Olive's Sloth Report
The Sloth
Introduction
The Sloth is a mammal.
Behaviour
The Sloth go in trees Sloth do go on land. Sloths can live to be 40 and sloths can sleep up 20 hours a day! Sloths are great swimmers. Sloths move 13 feet a minute.
Threats
The sloth’s main predators are Jaguars,Snakes and Eagles.
Habitat
The sloth’s habitat is in South America and in Tropical Rainforests and some are on Barro Colorauo Island.
Appearance
The Sloth only has 2 or 3 claws so it not to good at killing prey. All sloth have 3 claws on their hind limbs.
Food
2 toed Sloth eat leaves and fruits. The 3 toed Sloth eat mostly leaves. They also eat bugs, rats, small mice and birds eggs if they can find them.
Conclusion
Sloths are slow mammals but are very good in water. They are an interesting animal.
